based on Luke 10:37b
-freshly baked loaf of bread
-picture of eye, lung, heart, kidney
-Peter Fish filled with money
-SHOW KIDS FRESHLY BAKED LOAF OF BREAD, LET THEM GET AROMA, ASK THEM IF THEY ARE HUNGRY
-Do you know what people will do for a loaf of bread – hungry people in India for instance?
-Before I tell you, let me show you some pictures
SHOW KIDS PICTURES OF EYE, LUNG, HEART, KIDNEY. HAVE THEM IDENTIFY THE PICTURES.
-In India some people are so hungry that they are willing to sell body parts for the money to buy food. They let a doctor operate on them and take out a kidney.
-Can you imagine doing something like that?
-Today is World Hunger Sunday. We know there are people around the world who don't have enough to eat. But we don't have that problem, do we?!
II Be A Neighbor
-Today I am preaching about the Good Samaritan. The Good Samaritan was a neighbor to a man who was beaten and robbed and left for dead on the side of the road. He looked after him and care for him and showed him love.
-Jesus wants you to be a neighbor to the poor and hungry around the world.
-Thank you boys and girls for bringing your Peter Fish filled with money. Thank you for being a neighbor.
