LITANY OF PRAISE and PRAYER
25th Anniversary of Trinity United Reformed Church of Visalia, CA

Today we celebrate the 25th anniversary of Trinity United Reformed Church.

Many, O LORD my God, are the wonders You have done. Great is Your faithfulness.
(Ps 40:5; Lam 3:23)

For 25 years the Lord has nurtured and fed us with His Word.

Many, O LORD my God, are the wonders You have done. Great is Your faithfulness.

For 25 years the Lord has confirmed our faith with the sacraments.

Many, O LORD my God, are the wonders You have done. Great is Your faithfulness.

For 25 years the Lord has made us His witnesses in word and deed in this community and around the world.

The things You planned for us no one can recount to You; were I to speak and tell of them, they would be too many to declare. (Psalm 40:5)

For 25 years countless prayers of adoration, confession, thanksgiving, and supplication have been offered up to the Lord.

The things You planned for us no one can recount to You; were I to speak and tell of them, they would be too many to declare. (Psalm 40:5)

For 25 years God's love shows and our faith grows.

Many, O LORD my God, are the wonders You have done. Great is Your faithfulness.

All of our worship, all of our teaching, all of our youth programs, all of our Bible Studies, all of our outreach, and all of our fellowship we offer up in praise to God.

Many, O LORD my God, are the wonders You have done. Great is Your faithfulness.

With thanksgiving for what the Lord has done in the past, with joy for what He is doing in the present, and with hope for what He will do in the future we celebrate this anniversary.

Jesus, You are all to us.

Let the glory of Your Name be the passion of the Church; let the righteousness of God be a holy flame that burns; let the saving love of Christ be the measure of our lives.

Jesus, You are all to us. You are everything.

PRAYER:
Almighty God, we give You thanks for the work You have done in our midst. We give You thanks for Your love and faithfulness. When we called on Your name, You made Your presence known to us. When we prayed, You heard us. When we preached Your Word and administered Your Sacraments, You were in our midst. You have accepted our humble sacrifices of praise and thanksgiving. You have listened to our confessions and forgiven our sins. And You have sent your Holy Spirit to heal and comfort our hurts, our sorrows, our infirmities, and our losses.

We dedicate our lives to Your service.

Help us to witness to the Good News of Jesus Christ in all that we do and say.

We dedicate our lives to Your service.

Continue to show us how we might give care and support to the needy, love and mercy to the broken and forlorn.

We dedicate our lives to Your service.

Show us new ways of loving one another and those around us.

We dedicate our lives to Your service.

Break down the barriers which divide us, and make us all one in Your Son, Jesus Christ.

Hear our prayer, O Lord.

Renew us by the Spirit so that in us Your love will continue to show and our faith will continue to grow.

Hear our prayer, O Lord.

Grant that we may continually grow in the Spirit and in the ministry that You give us as members of Your royal priesthood, the priesthood of all believers, so that we may carry out our mission of service and love.

Hear our prayer, O Lord.

Continue to comfort, heal, and lift up the broken and afflicted among us. By the promise of Your presence, bring us Your healing love.

Hear our prayer, O Lord.

Bring us at last to the joy of your eternal kingdom, where, with the faithful of this church who have gone before us and with all Your saints, we may evermore praise Your name.

Hear our prayer, O Lord.

Blessed Lord, draw our hearts to You, guide our minds, fill our imaginations, control our wills and make us wholly Yours. Use us as You will, to the glory of Your holy name and the welfare of Your people; through Your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord, Who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen
